Travelers to Offer Defense Outside the Limits for Non-Profits

Travelers is now offering defense outside the limits for policyholders of the Wrap+ directors and officers (D&O) and employment practices liability (EPL) suite of coverages for non-profit organizations. D&O and EPL coverage are critical components of the overall insurance protection package that no non-profit organization should forgo.

Non-profit organizations have directors and officers whose personal assets may need protection from liability claims. Additionally, even non-profit organizations with good human resources policies and procedures in place can be sued, and the cost of defending such claims can be significant.

Defense outside the limits, available for select organizations, will help pay the cost of defending a claim made against the insured. Insureds will have peace of mind knowing that defense costs will not erode the policy limit available for adverse judgments or litigation settlement.
