TDI Report Says Uninsured Vehicles Declining

By David Surles, IIAT Insurance Agency | Fri, 13 Aug 2010

The number of uninsured vehicles on Texas roads shows signs of decline, according to a report produced by the Texas Department of Insurance. Since the launch of the TexasSure auto insurance verification program two years ago, the database shows the number of unmatched registered vehicles had declined to 21.65 percent compared to 24.28 percent at the beginning of the program. Current county-level numbers for unmatched vehicle registrations reported by the TexasSure program are available here: www.tdi.state.tx.us/news/2010/documents/unmatchedbycounty.pdf.
